A very special thanks to the more than 300 attendees came out to celebrate a century of service by St. Luke’s in the Desert at the 100th Baile de las Flores, which took place Saturday, April 6th at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort and Spa.
Guests were welcomed by 12 Chicas and Chicos dressed in festive garb. Special touches included a signature cocktail, the always popular Wheel of Wine and Whine, a stunning Silent Auction, historical pictures and Baile dresses. All attendees received a brightly wrapped gift bag that included Monsoon Chocolates and paper flowers containing wildflower seeds.
Sandra Maxwell won the raffle and took home an original oil, canvas-wrapped, 30X40 painting, Embudo in Autumn donated by the Artist Barbara Gurwitz.
Mary Greene, chair of the Baile committee, noted, “It has been an honor to chair the event and to work with an incredible team of women for the past two years to bring our committee’s vision of the 100th Baile de las Flores to life. The Committee is very grateful to everyone for the impressive response and support for this exciting celebration to honor 100 years of service to the community.”
