Every day, volunteers of St. Luke’s Home make an invaluable difference
in the lives of our senior residents by contributing their time, energy
and talents. Many of the daily and special activities undertaken by our
volunteers would otherwise be forgotten without them.
The leading volunteer organization of St. Luke’s Home, the St. Luke’s Board
of Visitors, is a women’s auxiliary that has been serving St. Luke’s since 1917.
In addition to the Board of Visitors, we welcome volunteers of all ages and
genders – children and adolescents, working adults and retirees, individuals,
school and church groups, service organizations and corporate volunteers.
Many volunteers develop deep, lasting relationships with residents of St. Luke’s Home.
St. Luke’s has an unlimited number of opportunities to engage volunteers in
activities with its residents, improvements to its facilities and assistance
with development efforts, including:
- Front desk receptionist/greeter
- Landscape maintenance
- Gardening
- Group activities with residents
- One-on-one activities with a resident
- Presentations/lectures for residents
- Performances for residents
- Special events assistance
- Fundraising assistance
- Administrative assistance
- Outreach assistance
The greatest benefit of volunteering at St. Luke’s Home is that you will put
SMILES on the faces of our residents. Our volunteers find their experiences to
be meaningful, satisfying, relaxing, an opportunity for socialization, and just plain FUN.
So, if you’re a person with a HEART and a WILLINGNESS to serve on behalf of the
seniors of Tucson, contact St. Luke’s Home today.
