Nominated by: Dev Sethi.

Why: The trio of ninth-grade students volunteer at St. Luke’s Home, an assisted living community for people with limited means. They came up with the idea to turn an empty lot behind the home into a dog park for residents. They sought donations of landscaping, tile work, painting, seating, art and more. They turned the plot into a community space. The park opened last month and its has become a wonderful place for residents, Sethi wrote. “These young ladies have done a wonderful act of kindness for the elderly residents of St. Luke”, Sethi wrote.
