St. Luke’s Hosts Successful 98th Baile
The 98th Baile, which took place Saturday April 8th at the Mountain Oyster Club, was a great success that raised $100,000 for St. Luke’s Home. This year’s donated artwork, an oil painting entitled “Generations Past” by Linda Dobkin, was won in a raffle by Board of Trustee’s Member Larry Adamson. Tucson artists have been invited to donate an original painting for raffle since 1987.
The Baile is presented each year by the Board of Visitors Committee(BOVC) of St. Luke’s Home. Founded in 1917, the Board has served the disadvantaged for 99 years, with a mission to “support St. Luke’s Home through volunteer service and fundraising.”
The Baile has been presented by the BOVC since 1919, making it Tucson’s oldest fundraising event.
The 97th Annual Baile Celebration was held on 16 April 2016 at the beautiful Mountain Oyster Club. The Board of Visitors extends a grateful thank you all of its attendees and those who supported the event in other ways. The funds raised included donations through our Donor Gifts Solicitation, raffle ticket sales for this year’s painting, note cards and Wheel of Whine and Wine.
