  Founded in 1917, the St. Luke's Board of Visitors has served St. Luke's Home through volunteer service and fundraising. Since 1919, we have presented the Baile, Tucson's oldest fundraising event. Traditionally the Baile has had a fiesta theme with guests wearing colorful attire amidst an atmosphere of joyful celebration. This year, the Board of Visitors is presenting the 96th Baile Celebration on Saturday, April 11, 2015, 6-10 pm, at the historic Mountain Oyster Club. It will be a Western themed event that will honor all those who work hard to support St. Luke's Home. We are proud that the Baile artist this year is landscape artist, Tom Murray.   The 95th Baile Celebration held on April 12, 2014, at the beautiful Mountain Oyster Club was a very successful event. The Board of Visitors extends a grateful thank you to the 175 attendees and those who supported the event in other ways. The net profit from the fundraiser for St. Luke's Home was $121,975.87. The funds included donations through our Donor Gifts Solicitation, raffle ticket sales for the raffle painting, note cards and Wheel of Whine and Wine. Associate Board of Visitors member, Joy Abbott, was the winner of the beautiful painting, Solitude, donated by Tucson artist Santos Barbosa. Plans for the 96th Baile are under way.
